Overwhelmed by the chaos of planning an extravagant wedding ceremony and reception? Searching for a quietly romantic setting to exchange promises with the special person in your life or renew those vows for a truly memorable anniversary? Sit back, relax, and allow Gramercy's professional staff to make every arrangement for the elopement of your dreams!

Exchange your vows surrounded by the beauty of a landscaped garden or on the covered garden terrace, fireside in an antique-adorned public room, or on a balcony in your own private suite. Overnight accommodations may be selected from all available guest rooms. Pricing includes a ceremony for a maximum of 12 guests. For information regarding ceremonies accommodating up to 150 guests, view Ceremonies at Gramercy. Elopements may be scheduled up to three months in advance. Romantic Elopement Getaway
  • Includes private non-denominational ceremony or vow renewal (pesonalized to your beliefs) performed by an ordained wedding minister at the location of your choice on Gramercy's property (based on availabilty, up to 12 guests);


  • A framed 8x10 photo print and 40 photos displayed online with the option to purchase, taken by Brian Slanger Photography or a professional wedding photographer before, during and/or after your ceremony (1-hour session);

  • An elegant dinner for two at the Milton Inn, Brass Elephant or Petit Louis, some of the area's most romantic and highly-acclaimed restaurants, including a glass of wine with each of the first two courses, coffee and dessert, tax and gratuity (Based on availability; Dinner at the Milton Inn not available on Saturdays);

  • One night stay in the room of your choice, complete with romantic votive candles and rose petals scattered throughout the room, a dozen long-stemmed roses and display of gourmet chocolates!

Elopement Ceremony Only

Rev. Heather Saul, Rev. William Duffy, Rev. Lauren Laffoon and Rev. Sharon Ridley, members of Gramercy's family of event staff and innkeepers, are ordained ministers serving the State of Maryland. They are happy to meet with couples planning their nuptials to discuss personal and/or spiritual beliefs and preferences, provide sample readings and prayers and assist with designing a customized ceremony. Heather, Bill and Lauren can be reached at Gramercy (410-486-2405).

Honor Ahern is a non-denominational ordained minister serving the State of Maryland. Honor has been raised under the Catholic religion, yet does not practice within the church and understands having the liberty to marry where you desire. Ceremonies include interfaith, multi-cultural, traditional, contemporary, as well as religious or non-religious.

Gramercy's innkeepers will handle every detail to ensure your perfect wedding day. However, one tiny detail must be left to the bride & groom... Please be sure that you have obtained a valid Baltimore County, Maryland Marriage License. Keep in mind, there is a two-day waiting period to receive the license and it is valid for up to 6 months.

Marriage License Information
General Info for all Maryland Counties

  • Legal age for marriage is 18 years old. If under 18, parental consent is required.
  • Residency is not required for bride or groom.
  • Either bride or groom may apply for the license.
  • Couple must marry within the county they register (Baltimore county for Gramercy wedding).
  • If previously married, a certificate of divorce or death is required.
  • There is a two day waiting period to receive your license and it remains valid for up to six months.
