Gramercy Mansion Bed & Breakfast
Guests of Gramercy Mansion Bed & Breakfast travel up a winding road lined with stone walls and vistas to the porte cochere of an English Tudor mansion. “We treat our guests to a special experience,” innkeeper Cristin Kline says. “From the moment guests enter the door, they are always discovering something new.” It could be the many trails over 45 acres of woodlands, the stream, the deer, or the large bronze sculpture of children playing. The property also includes an Olympic-size swimming pool and tennis court. The mansion, built in 1902, features high ceilings, a grand staircase, and a terrace. Art, antiques, and Oriental carpets furnish the five spacious main-floor rooms with private baths. Room amenities include television, VCR, refrigerator, and microwave. Some rooms also have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. A gourmet breakfast is served most days from 7 to 10 a.m. The menu includes a variety of fruit dishes, pastries, and entrées. The house omelet, made with shiitake mushrooms picked on the property, is a favorite.
