This month, we are featuring some of our personal favorite black owned businesses. From planners to officiants to caterers to cakes, we have your entire event covered right here! We have worked with these vendors several times and are blown away each time they return.
SG3 Events
Sarah has made a career out of helping people celebrate the most special moments in their lives. She strives to build relationships with her clients and that attention to customer service is what really sets her aside from others. Last fall in October 2020, SG3 events flawlessly facilitated Meagan and Brandon’s wedding at Gramercy Mansion. Our relationship as a venue with SG3 events began when we saw Sarah as the point of contact between us and the couple. We saw her come out several times for walk-thrus and planning sessions to truly bring the vision to life.
An event complete with tented back garden area, customized dance floor installation, and endless flowers throughout the property, this was no small feat. This wedding was one of the most impressive events our team has seen here at Gramercy Mansion and Sarah and her team did a fantastic job!

Bird of Paradise Events
Tiffanie and her team at Bird of Paradise Events is with you from the moment they meet at your initial consultation to the moment they send you off to your honeymoon. Managing every little detail is what they do best and allows you to enjoy every moment stress free.

She Officiates
Crystal is an experienced officiant in the State of Maryland. She is inclusive of all couples regardless of gender, race, and sexual orientation. She performs personalized ceremonies complete with handwritten vows that are a reflection of you and your partner as well as premarital counseling sessions. Crystal takes the lead for all types of celebrations, including civil unions, spiritual weddings, non-religious ceremonies, interfaith ceremonies, single religion ceremonies, vow renewals, and elopements.
In addition to her officiating services, she also runs several other successful businesses. In 2016, Crystal started her organization homegirls4thehomeless which services the community of misplaced friends. She has fed over 400 families, held annual sock and Christmas toy drives, and led several donation services. Crystal is also a practicing Reiki healer with years of experience!
Simply Elegant Catering
Simply Elegant Catering has been combining fine food and service in the Baltimore area for over 20 years! They pride themselves in creating unique and special events based on their clients needs. Bill and Tammy Clowney have dedicated their career to providing quality food and outstanding service!
In January 2021, Simply Elegant Catering was a vendor for Chantell’s 50th birthday party. They served lobster bisque and a pear and apple salad as the starters with a variety of foods served buffet style for the main course. It was definitely a night to remember!
Trene’ Forbes Photography
One of our favorite photographers that frequents the Mansion is Trene’ Forbes! She is a Baltimore, Maryland based photographer who specializes in wedding, portrait, and event photography. Her clean and modern photos coupled with her dazzling personality make all of her clients feel at ease! With ten years of experience under her belt, she is sure to capture every intimate moment you will want to remember forever.
One of our favorite events shot by Trene’ was Brianne and Michael’s 10/10/20 wedding this last October! With the beautiful fall landscaping and gorgeous floral arrangements, it wasn’t hard for Trene’ and her team to see the potential photo opportunities! However, the photos from after the sun went down were better than we imagined! Truly jaw dropping!
