This year, we saw an increase in elopements at the Mansion! Some couples chose to downsize their full ceremony and reception while others went straight for the elopements as a first choice. We’ve even received several last minute couples who just didn’t want to wait! Elopements are often used to refer to a marriage conducted in sudden fashion and we certainly agree. One couple booked an elopement five days prior to their ceremony! No matter the reason you choose to book with us, we are thrilled to help you celebrate your big day!
Katie and Patrick – August 1st, 2020
Katie and Patrick decided to have a small elopement at the marble gazebo before they ran off together with Amanda Souders Photography to take photos on the property! Our elopement package includes the services of an officiant should you need one and this ceremony was performed by Crystal! We love how they explored the grounds and captured beautiful photos throughout the gardens!
Congratulations Katie and Patrick!
Tikee and Greg – August 7th, 2020
What was originally supposed to be an outdoor garden elopement turned into a beautifully intimate atrium ceremony! This couple chose to pull the curtain and close off one of the wings of the atrium for their small group. After some family photos, they escaped to the gardens and took some of the most beautiful shots with Isabel Studios! The clear umbrellas are such a unique and classy choice for rain photos!
Congratulations Tikee and Greg!
Erica and TJ – September 18th, 2020
On a beautiful and sunny September day, we were able to host Erica and TJ’s intimate gazebo ceremony! As Erica put on the finishing touches in the Tudor room, TJ anxiously awaited their first look. We love seeing what traditions each couple choose to participate in on their big day! With less than 20 guests, they decided to turn their elopement into a mini wedding complete with a toast and cake cutting! They even provided their guests with hand sanitizer favors! After all the fun, the couple escaped with Jillian from B.O.B Photography to capture some beautiful golden hour photos!
Congratulations Erica and TJ!
Veronica and Terry – December 19th, 2020
Veronica and Terry came to tour Gramercy Mansion only one week before they eloped! They were displaced from their original location due to the pandemic but still made the most of their original date. With the Mansion set up for the holidays, the couple didn’t need to do much decorating of their own. Besides, the only thing more stunning than the decor is the bride! Veronica started the morning off by getting ready with her bridesmaids in Aphrodite’s Retreat, one of our guest rooms. After cascading down the main staircase, she made her way to the living room. (If you look closely, you might spot our manager Cristin helping Veronica with her train for the grand entrance!) With a guest count under 20, the couple decided to add an extra hour of time for a toast and some cake. While they only had a few guests in person, they chose to do what many couples are doing lately: zoom! Veronica and Terry had their ceremony on a live feed for their guests to watch from home. Maryland happened to get snow that week which set up the perfect winter wonderland shots captured by Katie from Peach May Photography!
Congratulations Veronica and Terry!
