Having the perfect music playing in the background is essential to compliment the other details that you have planned for your party. Being a DJ, I would always recommend hiring a professional Disc Jockey to handle those duties but if you don’t have the budget, room or want to tackle the music on your own, here are some tips. The key to putting together a great music format for your soiree is to set the mood with some classic tunes early on. Remember that everyone won’t arrive at the same time so the “arrival music” will most likely sp
an 30 or 40 minutes. Use your discretion how much “holiday” music you want to include and keep in mind that your guests may be hearing holiday music everywhere they go this time of year. As the time progresses, so should the energy and tempo of the music, moving the flow of the vibe along. If your revelers feel like they want to dance or just groove to the sounds you should give them the songs to do so in the later hours of the party. You can give a nod to the seasonal vibe by adding some feel good holiday remixes without resorting to overplayed choices. Variety is the key and knowing what your guests might like to hear.
